Religion 7th - 8th

I grew up on a farm near Milford, NE, where I
graduated from high school in 2001. My parents, Terry
and Lori still live on the farm, but leave the farming duties
to my uncle and cousins. I have 4 brothers and 2 sisters, 1
sister-in law, 1 brother-in-law, 5 nieces, and 2 nephews. I
am the oldest child in my family. I was ordained a priest in
the summer of 2010, and assigned as the assistant pastor
at St. Mary Church in David City, NE, while also teaching
religion at Aquinas Catholic High School. In 2013 I was assigned
as the assistant pastor at North American Martyrs in
Lincoln, where I also taught religion at Pius X High School. In
the summer of 2016, I was assigned as the pastor of St.
John the Baptist Parish in Cambridge and St. Germanus
Parish in Arapahoe, in addition to teaching seventh and
eighth-grade religion here at St. Patrick School. I
look forward to sharing my faith in Jesus Christ with your
sons and daughters. I am sure we will grow in our faith together
and learn from each other.
I enjoy photography. Most of my photos are of
different places in Nebraska. I have a passion for Nebraska
history. There is an entire book case in my house dedicated
to Nebraska, and it won't take long for me to start
showing you all of my different maps from different time
periods of the state. The map that I am most proud of is the
one where I have highlighted all the roads that I have driven
in the state of Nebraska. I have visited every town (all
700 or so) in the state, and I am close to having driven on
every mile of every paved highway in the state.
Southwestern Nebraska is like a second home to
me. You can take the boy out of the country, but you can't
take the country out of the boy.
May God bless you and your families this school
year
