Mrs. Patricia Janssen
Spanish - 6th, 7th & 8th Grade
I can hardly believe that this is my sixteenth year
at St. Patrick School. I am happy to be back as a volunteer
in the foreign language department. What a lovely
place to work…most days! I shall be teaching sixth
through eighth-grade Spanish two days per week.
I have lived in McCook for forty-five years, moving
here from Grand Island. My husband and I have been
married 54 years, and we have five grown children…all
of whom attended St. Patrick School for nine years each. If
my math is correct, we were very fortunate to be able to
provide our children with 45 years of quality Catholic education.
I have been a teacher for 54 years, teaching
French and Spanish. My years of teaching include Benson
High in Omaha, Marian High in Omaha, Marquette High in
Marquette, Walnut Junior High in Grand Island, McCook
Community College, and McCook Junior-Senior High. I retired
from teaching full-time 16 years ago.
I hope to make this year a fun and rewarding
one for the students. With a little luck we may be able to
learn some Spanish and have a good time doing it.
